Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rufus Soderberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dane Brigglett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
23 - 16 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rufus Soderberg! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dane Brigglett! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Soderberg slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
It looks like Dane Brigglett has been cut. Brigglett slaps away a takedown attempt from Soderberg, before circling back to the center of the mat. Brigglett misses with a straight left. Soderberg takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Crunch! Soderberg slams his shin into Brigglett's torso. Soderberg fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Brigglett manages to avoid it. Brigglett has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Soderberg goes for a double leg but Brigglett avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Brigglett continues to drive forward. Brigglett swings and misses with a shot to the body and Soderberg counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Soderberg lands a nice short elbow. Soderberg missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Soderberg wants to free his trapped foot but Brigglett is holding on for dear life with his legs. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Brigglett tries to roll over but Soderberg keeps him under control. Brigglett is trying to stand up here but Soderberg is controlling him well.

Soderberg stalling away here and it's allowed Brigglett to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Soderberg is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Brigglett is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Brigglett has escaped and now he's on top!

Brigglett cracks Soderberg with a solid left hand. Brigglett is fighting to break Soderberg's control of his arms but Soderberg is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Brigglett with a flurry of punches that miss. Brigglett working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Soderberg's head. Brigglett postures up.
Soderberg has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Brigglett can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Soderberg looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Soderberg is looking to work some ground and pound but Brigglett has wrist control. Brigglett gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Soderberg working for a triangle but Brigglett defends it easily.

Brigglett is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Soderberg has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Brigglett is looking to defend but Soderberg has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Brigglett! Soderberg pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Brigglett taps out and this one is all over!
