Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Takeru Kobayashi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Uncle Creepy! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Patrick Alders and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kobayashi throws a shot from downtown. Creepy moves away and avoids it. Creepy throws a head kick that misses and Kobayashi counters with a left to the body. Nice straight punches there by Kobayashi. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kobayashi. Creepy scores with a body shot.
Kobayashi throws a low kick but Creepy moves out of range easily. Kobayashi stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Creepy. Creepy attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Creepy will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Creepy misses the shot to the body. Kobayashi takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Kobayashi avoids the head kick by Creepy.

Creepy pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Creepy is looking to chop away at Kobayashi's legs. Creepy scores with a one two! Kobayashi had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
It looks like Takeru Kobayashi has been cut. Creepy moves out of range as Kobayashi throws a body kick.
Creepy throws a fast counter high kick but Kobayashi manages to duck under it in time. Both fighters circling a little - Kobayashi finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Creepy fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kobayashi looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Creepy will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Creepy takes a swing at Kobayashi's ribcage but misses. Creepy lands a leg kick that knocks Kobayashi off balance momentarily. Kobayashi takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Kobayashi throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Creepy throws a body shot but no joy. Uncle Creepy seems to be getting the better of the standup. Kobayashi blocks a head kick by Creepy.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Creepy scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Uncle Creepy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Creepy throws a predictable looking body shot
and Kobayashi counters with a thumping low kick. Creepy throws out a loose jab but Kobayashi uses good head movement to avoid it. Creepy throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Kobayashi misses with a takedown attempt - Creepy sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Kobayashi throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. As Creepy backs away, Kobayashi returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Kobayashi closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kobayashi tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kobayashi is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Creepy has escaped the position, nice work there. Creepy parries the strikes from Kobayashi easily there. Kobayashi is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Creepy to escape.

Kobayashi finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
