Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Ostrowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Bova (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Frankie Ostrowski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anthony Bova!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ostrowski bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Bova's head backwards.
Ostrowski thumps Bova with a low kick.
Bova fails with a takedown attempt.
Ostrowski swings for the body but Bova moves out of range.
Bova looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Bova takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Bova changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ostrowski tries to avoid it but Bova manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ostrowski to the ground. Ostrowski escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Frankie Ostrowski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anthony Bova.
Ostrowski buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ostrowski lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Ostrowski is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ostrowski perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Bova tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Ostrowski looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bova is staying active underneath Ostrowski, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ostrowski takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Ostrowski is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bova doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ostrowski.

Bova has his takedown stuffed
and Ostrowski counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Bova blocks a head kick by Ostrowski.
Anthony Bova is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Ostrowski.
Ostrowski connects with a leg kick. Bova looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Ostrowski takes a swing at Bova's ribcage but misses.
Ostrowski fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bova manages to avoid it.

That kick from Ostrowski tenderised Bova's leg. Bova is trying to keep his angry face on.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Ostrowski here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Ostrowski shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bova's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Ostrowski lands with a kick to the temple. Bova shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Ostrowski stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ostrowski wants it to stay on the feet.
Bova shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Bova misses with a takedown attempt - Ostrowski sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Frankie Ostrowski is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Bova takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Ostrowski had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bova defends it easily.

Ostrowski has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bova can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

And that's the end of the fight!

Well Ostrowski has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
