Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Johnnie Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jibril Khalifa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Johnnie Hill! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jibril Khalifa! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Khalifa tries to grapple but his opponent circles enabling Hill to counter with a crisp jab. Jibril Khalifa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hill swats away the attempt to clinch by Khalifa. Hill has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Khalifa. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Khalifa lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Hill has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Hill and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Khalifa misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Khalifa tries to clinch up but Hill circles away and keeps his distance. Khalifa lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Khalifa moves in looking to clinch but Hill pushes him off. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Khalifa doesn't manage to clinch there - Hill circles away.
Khalifa tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hill manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Hill steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Khalifa. That one must have hurt. Khalifa gets caught napping as Hill dives in and scores a takedown. Khalifa manages to retain guard. Hill slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hill drops back looking for a leg! Khalifa is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Khalifa manages to kick Hill off! Hill jumps back into Khalifa's guard. Khalifa has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Hill has passed into side control.
Khalifa is trying to work for a sweep but Hill has mounted him! Hill takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Hill looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Khalifa is desperately trying to improve his position but Hill has a good base and remains in mount. Hill landing strikes, looking to finish! Khalifa can't escape the position.
Hill tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Khalifa is trying desperately to improve position. Khalifa regains half guard. Hill controlling the action here. Khalifa tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Hill has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Khalifa really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hill takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Hill with shots to the head and body - Khalifa looks very uncomfortable down there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hill lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Khalifa hang on? Khalifa is desperately trying to improve his position but Hill has a good base and remains in mount. Hill working away from the top, dropping strikes. Hill working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Khalifa looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Hill! Submission of the night perhaps?
