Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vasily Demchenkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Todd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vasily Demchenkov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Greg Todd! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Tarja Halkonen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Demchenkov tries for a takedown but Todd sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Todd swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Demchenkov counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Todd! The referee asks Demchenkov politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Demchenkov prefers to stall for the moment though. Demchenkov scores with a couple of short elbows. Demchenkov tries to score with some ground and pound. Todd controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Demchenkov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Todd is working to avoid the ground and pound but Demchenkov connects with a decent elbow. Todd seems a little lost for a moment, as Demchenkov dominates the positioning. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Demchenkov landing strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Demchenkov lands a nice forearm strike. Demchenkov misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Todd takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Demchenkov lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Demchenkov throws an elbow but Todd slips to the side and avoids it well. Demchenkov cracks Todd with an elbow. That is naaassty. Demchenkov laying and praying for a moment but Todd takes advantage and regains half guard. Todd is refusing to be controlled, as Demchenkov sits in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Demchenkov lands a nice short elbow. Demchenkov throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Todd avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Demchenkov. Todd is trying to maintain the position but Demchenkov is very close to passing his half guard. Demchenkov not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Demchenkov performing his best blanket impression for a moment. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Demchenkov thows a huge punch but Todd dodges it nicely.
Demchenkov looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Oooooh!!! Todd has knocked Demchenkov down with a huge combo! Todd steps away and waves a wobbly Demchenkov back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
It looks like Vasily Demchenkov has been cut. Todd is pawing at Demchenkov, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Demchenkov's nose. Demchenkov is badly hurt! Todd pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Demchenkov tries desperately to hold on but Todd is relentless in his assault! As Demchenkov receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Todd away and this one is in the books!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Greg Todd!
