Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Slow Poke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Cotto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Slow Poke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Miguel Cotto! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Alyssa Summers and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A clash of legs there as Cotto blocks the low kick. Slow Poke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Poke. Cotto shrugs it off though. Poke throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Cotto swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Poke shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Poke throws a sloppy head kick and Cotto moves out of range easily. Poke throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Poke fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Poke throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Cotto was covering up waiting for the punch and Poke finishes the takedown easily into guard. Cotto is trying to keep Poke in close.
Poke won't allow Cotto to sweep him here. Poke content to stall in guard here. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cotto can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's one minute gone in the round. Poke passes Cotto's left leg - he's now in half guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Poke is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Poke in particular looking to stall. Poke missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Poke working the head and body with strikes. Poke is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Cotto! Poke looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Poke landing punches. Poke landing shots from mount. Poke scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Cotto?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Poke has isolated one of Cotto's arms. Cotto looking to fight him off but Poke twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
