The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rivfader rushes Belyx and presses him up against the cage.
Belyx is trying to break the clinch but Rivfader is controlling him.
Belyx throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Belyx fails to pull guard.
Rivfader gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Belyx.
A frustrated look appears on Belyx's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Belyx misses with an elbow strike.
Rivfader lands a hook that snaps the head of Belyx backwards.

It looks like Max Belyx has been cut.
Belyx tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Rivfader just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Max Belyx. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rivfader works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Belyx seems a little lost for a moment, as Rivfader dominates the positioning.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
