Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ronaldo Santos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Geoff George! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Edson Gomes and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santos misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. George throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Santos counters with a one-two to the body. George moves out of range of the body kick. George looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Santos fails with a takedown attempt. Santos closes the distance and clinches. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Santos has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics George uses from the top position. George wants to stand but Santos has a closed guard, so he can't escape. George advances to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. George stays in close to Santos's body and controls the position. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. George is looking to pass into half guard but Santos pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Santos is in guard. George pulls Santos in to control the position. Santos stands up from guard. Let's bang! George misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Santos closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Santos gets control of George's arms and successfully pulls guard. He's tossed George clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Will Santos go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Santos can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. George tries to land a sweep but no joy.
