Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ron Simmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Huggie Bear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Ron Simmons has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ron Simmons! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Huggie Bear! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Micheangelo Fripello and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Simmons fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bear avoids it really well and circles away. Bear misses with a head kick.
Bear has a takedown stuffed. Bear leaves Simmons with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Simmons drives through with a takedown into guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Simmons lands a couple of elbows. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Simmons sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bear's guard. Bear trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Simmons manages to pass to mount!
Simmons is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Bear has managed to escape the submission attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Simmons postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Bear looks a forlorn figure.
Simmons has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Simmons can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bear is looking to escape. Simmons is working for a guillotine from mount but Bear frees his head quite easily.
Simmons lands a nice shot to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bear really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Simmons controlling from the full mount. Simmons trying to control but Bear is having none of it. Bear looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bear defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Simmons's arms. Bear looking very determined here, making life difficult for Simmons.
Simmons slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Simmons keeps control of the position easily here as Bear tries to buck him off.
Bear wants to get back to his feet. Simmons punishes Bear with strikes from the back mount. Bear tries to roll but Simmons sticks to his back.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Simmons controls the action. Simmons scores with punches and elbows. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ron Simmons dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Simmons has Bear up against the cage in a clinch.
Simmons manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Ron Simmons overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Simmons lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Simmons is pushing down on Bear's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bear is fighting to maintain full guard but Simmons has managed to sneak the leg through. Bear strikes from the bottom but Simmons passes into mount!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Simmons controlling the position easily from mount. Simmons is landing with some decent strikes but Bear is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bear keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

It looks like Huggie Bear has been cut. Bear wants to hold on but Simmons pushes him away. Simmons looking to control and managing it successfully. Simmons lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Bear hang on?
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bear is trying to reverse the position but instead Simmons has taken his back - oops! Bear is covering up but some of the strikes from Simmons are getting through and doing damage.
Simmons is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Bear up.
Bear is rocked! Simmons scoring with big shots to the body. Bear is looking for a way out. A despairing look towards the ref and the official steps in to stop the fight. Bear was obviously done but didn't want to tap out.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ron Simmons!
