PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between HeavyWeight Prizefighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mr Complete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Prizefighter kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Under and Over it by ffdp. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Complete pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
A good leg kick by Prizefighter.
Complete throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Prizefighter sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Complete throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Prizefighter turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Mr Complete seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Prizefighter closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Good leg kick by Prizefighter there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Complete throws a looping overhand right but Prizefighter ducks down to avoid it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Crunch! Prizefighter slams his shin into Complete's torso.
Complete looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Prizefighter with the ground and pound but Complete regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Complete is staying active underneath Prizefighter, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Complete tries to get to full guard but Prizefighter has control of the leg.

Prizefighter is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Prizefighter tries to pass the half guard into mount. Complete knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Prizefighter seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Complete does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Prizefighter is looking for a kimura but Complete is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Prizefighter to get the leverage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Complete is not content to let Prizefighter control the position.
Prizefighter throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Complete trying to hold on to Prizefighter's head to control him but Prizefighter postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Complete is trying to stand back up but Prizefighter is controlling him
Prizefighter is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Prizefighter pushes down on Complete's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Prizefighter moves into full mount! Complete won't be happy about that!
Prizefighter really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Complete is trying desperately to improve position.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Prizefighter cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Complete keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Prizefighter lands a big shot there that rocks Complete but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Prizefighter can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Complete is looking to escape.

Prizefighter wants to control the pace but Complete is squirming around nicely.
Prizefighter lands a heavy elbow.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Complete tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Complete is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Complete is squirming around, avoiding Prizefighter's attempts to control the action.
Prizefighter won't let Complete get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Complete is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Prizefighter can't fight it off and eventually Complete manages to take the fight to the floor. Prizefighter looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Prizefighter is on top in guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Prizefighter lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Complete looking to hit a scissor sweep but Prizefighter is one step ahead there.
Prizefighter stands up over Complete, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Prizefighter sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Complete's guard.

Prizefighter maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Complete could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Prizefighter has cracked it and Complete is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Prizefighter!
