Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Elliott Howe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Middelton!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Dean Styles and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Middelton forces Howe back against the cage and clinches.
Middelton fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Middelton lands a right hand.
Middelton is trying to maintain a safe position but Howe gets an underhook and turns Middelton into the cage.
Howe content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Middelton scores with a shoulder strike.
Middelton is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Howe taking a breather.
Howe is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Middelton is defending well for now.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Howe stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Middelton tries to circle away but Howe has him pinned against the cage.
Middelton wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Howe has him pressed against the cage.

Howe drags the fight down to the ground.

Howe is working an open guard so Middelton takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Middelton tries to clinch up but Howe circles away and keeps his distance.
Middelton tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Howe defends well and Middelton ends up having to push Howe into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Howe gets tackled into the cage by Middelton. Middelton maintains the clinch.
Howe tries to pull guard but Middelton won't allow it.

Middelton drags the fight down to the ground.
Howe has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Middelton is proving hard to escape from.
Middelton is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Howe is controlling him.

Middelton manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Middelton is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Howe avoids the head kick by Middelton.
Howe tries to clinch but Middelton moves out of range.
Some wild striking there from Middelton.
A punch combination from Middelton misses.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Middelton jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Sloppy strikes from Middelton. Those never looked like landing.
Mike Middelton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Middelton scores with a three punch combo!
Howe tries to close the distance and clinch up but Middelton swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Middelton throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.


It looks like Elliott Howe has been cut.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Howe shoots in for a takedown but Middelton shows good takedown defense.
Middelton will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Howe really is a fat lump.
Middelton tries to clinch up but Howe circles away and keeps his distance.

Middelton takes the fight into the clinch.
Middelton trying to control the position but instead, Howe has worked for underhooks and has pushed Middelton into the cage.
Middelton throws a head punch that misses.
Middelton is trying to break the clinch but Howe is controlling him.
Howe has Middelton pressed against the cage, preventing Middelton from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
A frustrated look appears on Middelton's face as he tries to break the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Middelton is trying to force a seperation but Howe has the dominant position.
Middelton tries to break free but Howe pushes him back against the cage.
Howe fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Elliott Howe. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Middelton has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
A nice right hand lands inside from Middelton.
Howe wants to stall.
Howe is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Howe is trying to trip Middelton. He has hold of a leg but Middelton is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Howe persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Middelton is looking to stand back up but Howe counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Middelton.
Middelton wants to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mike Middelton dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Elliott Howe's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Middelton throws a leg kick

and Howe counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Middelton is trying to stand.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Middelton. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Howe seems to be working for a kimura but Middelton defends the submission attempt.

Middelton manages to escape and get back to his feet!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Middelton scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Howe throws a wild hook but Middelton just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Howe gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Middelton raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike Middelton!
