The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dent fails with the takedown.
Boomhauer swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Boomhauer tries to close the distance and clinch but Dent swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Dent gets a takedown into half guard.

Dent is trying to work for a kimura but Boomhauer is defending well.

Dent is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Boomhauer is refusing to be controlled, as Dent sits in half guard.

Dent is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Dent wants to get back to his feet.
Dent prevents Boomhauer from standing back up.

Dent is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Boomhauer defends it well.
Boomhauer is trying to stand.

Dent stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Boomhauer to get to his feet.

Boomhauer lands with a thumping leg kick.
Boomhauer lands with a hook. Dent tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Jeff Boomhauer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Boomhauer tries to clinch up.
Dent drops his hands momentarily and Boomhauer takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Dent throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Boomhauer's waist but Boomhauer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dent off to one side.

Dent feints and as Boomhauer raises his hands in defense, Dent changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dent accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Boomhauer tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Dent tries to free his leg and advance position but Boomhauer is retaining full guard.
Boomhauer is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Dent is controlling him.
Dent works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Dent tries to pass the half guard into mount. Boomhauer knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Boomhauer is looking to escape.

Dent is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Boomhauer defends it well.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Dent is tying to control. Boomhauer wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Dent seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Boomhauer is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
