The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rodriguez tries to clinch up but Wall circles away and keeps his distance. Rodriguez drives through and clinches with Wall against the cage.
Rodriguez tries to circle away but Wall has him pinned against the cage. Wall jumps guard but Rodriguez stands there with Wall around his waist. Wall gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Rodriguez is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Wall is trying to pull guard but Rodriguez turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rodriguez ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Rodriguez no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Rodriguez is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Wall controlling from the top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Carlos Rodriguez dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Rodriguez lands a left and a right that send Wall crashing to the mat, dazed. Rodriguez thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Donovan Wall has been cut. Wall blocks a head kick by Rodriguez.
Oh Wall is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Rodriguez darts in and clinches Wall up against the cage. Rodriguez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Rodriguez cracks Wall's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Wall slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Rodriguez can do further damage! This one is done, son!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Carlos Rodriguez!
