The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
bones shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Zhirkov as he avoids it easily.
Zhirkov throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
bones is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Zhirkov.

It looks like kc bones has been cut.
bones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Zhirkov looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

bones closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - bones lands in his opponent's guard.

bones drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Zhirkov dives on top into guard.

bones has his foot on Zhirkov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Zhirkov works his way back into a safe position though.

bones escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Zhirkov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Zhirkov avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Zhirkov stands up over bones, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Zhirkov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. bones swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Zhirkov drops back looking for a leg! bones is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and bones manages to kick Zhirkov off! Zhirkov jumps back into bones's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
bones is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Zhirkov is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Zhirkov is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but bones has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Zhirkov is looking to defend but bones has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Zhirkov! bones pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Zhirkov taps out and this one is all over!
