Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kerry Larson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Boris Sydercezk! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Viktor Lagutenko and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sydercezk closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Larson did well to prevent Sydercezk getting side control. Larson kicks off Sydercezk and gets to his feet. Sydercezk takes the fight into the clinch. Sydercezk jumps into guard, dragging Larson to the mat.
Sydercezk seems keen to control Larson's posture. Sydercezk looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Larson is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Sydercezk controlling Larson's posture. Larson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Larson's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Larson throws a big right hand that misses. Sydercezk looking for a sweep. Not yet Sydercezk, not yet. Sydercezk throws his legs up looking for a submission but Larson uses it to pass to side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sydercezk takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Sydercezk is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Larson is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Sydercezk tries to reverse the position but Larson maintains control. Larson is in the full mount, landing strikes. Sydercezk is trying to escape the mount.
Larson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Sydercezk is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. A nice elbow there by Larson. Sydercezk is desperately trying to improve his position but Larson has a good base and remains in mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Larson punishing his opponent with strikes. Sydercezk wants to hold on but Larson pushes him away. Sydercezk might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Larson haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Larson breaks from Sydercezk's wrist control and lands an elbow. Larson is landing with some decent strikes but Sydercezk is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Sydercezk tries to hold on but Larson postures up. Larson really is a fat lump. BOOM! Larson connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Sydercezk wants to control but Larson is having none of it. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Larson with good strikes from the mount here! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sydercezk throws a leg kick that is checked and Larson counters with a single leg into guard. Sydercezk didn't expect that. Sydercezk tries to land a sweep but no joy. Sydercezk throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Larson landing some decent shots from guard. Sydercezk looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Larson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sydercezk can do to turn this around? We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Larson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sydercezk wants to control the position but Larson says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Larson is nestled in close to Sydercezk, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Larson winds up and cracks Sydercezk with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Larson not landing any meaningful shots this time. Larson missing with the ground and pound from half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sydercezk with the active half guard here but Larson passes nicely into side control. Larson lands a few punches from side control. Sydercezk trying his best to control but Larson has mounted him. Kerry Larson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Larson prevents Sydercezk from getting the reversal. Larson landing strikes, looking to finish! Larson raining down shots from the mount! The referee warns Sydercezk that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Larson lands with some strikes. Larson raining down hammerfists from mount. Larson has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Sydercezk's face.
Larson is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Sydercezk can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Larson shoots for a double leg takedown but Sydercezk sprawls well. He's pushed Larson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Sydercezk closes the distance and pushes Larson back into the cage. Sydercezk tries to break free but Larson pushes him back against the cage. Sydercezk looking to slow down the pace here. Sydercezk is trying to trip Larson. He has hold of a leg but Larson is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Sydercezk persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Sydercezk in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Larson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Larson is looking to stand up but Sydercezk isn't so interested in that idea. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Larson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Larson is taking a breather. Sydercezk says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sydercezk wants to control but Larson is keeping busy and won't allow it. Larson winds up and cracks Sydercezk with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Sydercezk is trying to maintain the position but Larson is very close to passing his half guard. Larson prevents Sydercezk from improving his position. Sydercezk moves into full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Sydercezk working a defensive guard here.
Sydercezk wants to stand and escape but Larson is having none of it. Larson throwing strikes from guard but Sydercezk blocks nicely. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Larson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sydercezk pushes Larson up against the cage in a clinch. Sydercezk has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Larson uses from the top position. Larson postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Larson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Sydercezk trying to keep a closed guard but Larson is proving a slippery customer.
Sydercezk takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Sydercezk wants to sweep here but Larson controlling him for the moment. Sydercezk looking for a guillotine here but Larson defends easily.
Larson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sydercezk works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Larson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Larson landing strikes. Larson in side control lands a decent elbow. Sydercezk takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Sydercezk is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Larson has just dragged him back down to the mat. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Larson lands some shots froms side control.
And that's the end of the fight! Kerry Larson showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Larson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
