And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Boris Sydercezk!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Viktor Lagutenko and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sydercezk closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Larson did well to prevent Sydercezk getting side control.

Larson kicks off Sydercezk and gets to his feet.

Sydercezk takes the fight into the clinch.

Sydercezk jumps into guard, dragging Larson to the mat.

Larson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Sydercezk throws a leg kick that is checked

and Larson counters with a single leg into guard. Sydercezk didn't expect that.

Larson shoots for a double leg takedown but Sydercezk sprawls well. He's pushed Larson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Sydercezk is trying to trip Larson. He has hold of a leg but Larson is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Sydercezk persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Larson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Larson is taking a breather. Sydercezk says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Larson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Sydercezk has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Larson uses from the top position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Sydercezk takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Sydercezk is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Larson has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Larson lands some shots froms side control.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Larson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
