Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Elvin Mays (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Maer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Elvin Mays!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Danny Maer!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mays swings for the body but Maer moves out of range.
Maer shoots in looking for a takedown. Mays tries to sprawl out of it but Maer keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mays manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
It looked like Mays was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Maer.
Maer tries for a takedown but Mays sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Maer doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Mays misses the jab.
Mays jabs Maer right on the nose. Maer blinks but takes it well.
Maer shoots in looking for a takedown but Mays manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Maer's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Elvin Mays has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danny Maer.
Maer dives in for a single leg takedown but Mays sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Maer misses with a takedown attempt - Mays sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mays digs a good body shot into Maer's ribs.
Mays ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Maer moves away.
Maer gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Mays shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Maer looks winded!

Mays is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Mays winds up and cracks Maer with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Mays looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Maer with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Mays connects with a nice short shot to Maer's temple.
Mays is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Maer!
Mays lands a couple of good shots and Maer has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Mays is looking to finish with some ground and pound!
Mays scores with punches to the body.


Maer is rocked!
Mays is riding his opponent, not letting Maer buck him off.
Maer is still in real trouble! Can Mays finish him?
Mays is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Maer. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.

Can Maer hold on?! Mays is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mays lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Maer.
Maer is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Oooh a big shot gets through from Mays. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

Maer seems to have recovered his senses.
Mays lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Mays.

The referee is taking a good look at Maer as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Mays!
