Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kiril Tkachenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boris Britva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Boris Britva was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kiril Tkachenko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Boris Britva! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Britva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tkachenko paws at him with a jab and circles away. Tkachenko tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Britva was well out of range. Poor timing from Tkachenko. Britva changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Tkachenko really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Britva shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Tkachenko as he avoids it easily. Tkachenko moves into range and clinches up with Britva. A frustrated look appears on Britva's face as he tries to break the clinch. Tkachenko's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Tkachenko closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Britva tries to get back to half guard but can't. Britva prevents Tkachenko from moving into mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tkachenko tries to move to full mount but Britva actually manages to regain half guard. Tkachenko not doing much here.

Britva wants to improve his position but Tkachenko is controlling well.
Tkachenko looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Britva actively working from the bottom here. Tkachenko is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Britva defends it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Britva tries to roll over but Tkachenko keeps him under control. Well, if Tkachenko is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Britva misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Tkachenko feinted with a counter takedown. Tkachenko gets a clinch. Tkachenko breaks from the clinch.
Britva wants to clinch up but Tkachenko keeps it at a distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Britva clinches up with Tkachenko and pushes him back against the cage. Tkachenko prevents the takedown attempt.
Kiril Tkachenko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Boris Britva. Britva looks winded! Tkachenko successfully pulls guard.
Tkachenko wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Tkachenko trying to control the position.
Britva slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Tkachenko. Britva is trying to control the action in half guard but Tkachenko is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. We've been informed that Britva has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Tkachenko is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tkachenko regains full guard. Nicely done. Tkachenko wants to control the position but Britva says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Tkachenko is trying to get back to full guard. Tkachenko knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Britva on the ground. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Britva tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Tkachenko wants to improve his position but Britva is controlling well.

Kiril Tkachenko dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Britva throws a sloppy head kick and Tkachenko moves out of range easily. Tkachenko is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Britva. Britva shoots for a takedown but Tkachenko saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Tkachenko misses with a double jab.
Tkachenko lands with an uppercut that bounces Britva off the cage and back into range. Britva blocks the body kick.
Britva shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tkachenko sprawls well. Tkachenko wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Britva gets slowly back to his feet. Britva closes this distance looking for a takedown but Tkachenko circles away. Kiril Tkachenko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Boris Britva. Britva is breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tkachenko looking to score a takedown here. Britva is defending well but Tkachenko drives through and ends up in Britva's guard. Britva controls Tkachenko momentarily but Tkachenko frees himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tkachenko wants to stand but Britva is controlling his posture from full guard. Tkachenko is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Britva has his foot on Tkachenko's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tkachenko works his way back into a safe position though. Tkachenko has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Tkachenko postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Tkachenko wants to stand but Britva is controlling his posture from full guard.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Britva tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Tkachenko defends well and Britva ends up having to push Tkachenko into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Tkachenko closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Tkachenko happy to just control the position for now. Tkachenko tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Tkachenko is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Britva is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Britva is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Tkachenko is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tkachenko is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Britva has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tkachenko trying to control but he's not successful this time. Britva tries to lock up and control but Tkachenko gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Tkachenko content just to control the position here. Britva tries to hold on but Tkachenko pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Britva tries to get back to half guard but can't. Tkachenko trying to control but he's not successful this time. Britva wants to control but Tkachenko is having none of it. Tkachenko trying to control but Britva is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Tkachenko scoring with strikes but Britva is staying in there. Britva throws a head kick that misses. Britva closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Tkachenko manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Tkachenko is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Britva trying to control but Tkachenko is working from the bottom. Tkachenko is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Britva can do to turn this around? Tkachenko is looking to stand up but Britva isn't so interested in that idea. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tkachenko is trying to control the position but Britva postures up.

Tkachenko wants to take a breather but Britva is having none of it. Tkachenko is looking to advance position but Britva won't allow it. Kiril Tkachenko overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Britva tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Britva is trying to stand up here but Tkachenko is controlling him well. Britva trying to hold on to Tkachenko's head to control him but Tkachenko postures up.
Britva makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Britva. Tkachenko looking to pass the guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Britva shoots in for a takedown but Tkachenko shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Tkachenko tries to close the distance and clinch up but Britva swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tkachenko moves into the clinch. Tkachenko gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Britva utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Tkachenko scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Britva throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Tkachenko sitting in guard here, content to control. Tkachenko wants to get up but he can't break Britva's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Britva is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tkachenko is controlling him. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Tkachenko is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Tkachenko fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Britva sprawls well initially but Tkachenko persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Britva pushes Tkachenko off looking to stand but Tkachenko dives back in and keeps control.
Britva actively working from the bottom here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Tkachenko lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
And that's the end of the fight! Kiril Tkachenko showed his dominance in that final round. Well Tkachenko has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
