Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between August Guerrero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zailer Bronson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zailer Bronson looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, August Guerrero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Zailer Bronson!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Franklyn Lucas and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bronson throws a nice head kick!


It looks like August Guerrero has been cut.
Bronson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Bronson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Guerrero circles away.
Guerrero stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Guerrero wants it to stay on the feet.
It looked like Guerrero wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Bronson pushes Guerrero up against the cage in a clinch.
Guerrero wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Bronson gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Guerrero wants to get back to his feet but Bronson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Guerrero is looking for a triangle but Bronson pushes his legs off easily.
Guerrero is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Guerrero is trying to keep Bronson in close.
Bronson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Guerrero wants to sweep here but Bronson controlling him for the moment.
Bronson wants to control from the top but Guerrero keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Bronson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bronson showed some decent athleticism there.
Guerrero wants to get back to full guard.

Guerrero wants to control but Bronson is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Guerrero is not content to let Bronson control the position.
Guerrero regains full guard. Nicely done.
Guerrero is looking to stand up but Bronson isn't so interested in that idea.
Bronson trying to control the position from guard on top but Guerrero is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Guerrero will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Guerrero bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bronson's guard.

Bronson pulls Guerrero in close to prevent any damage.
Bronson looks winded!

Guerrero postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Bronson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Guerrero, into his guard.

Guerrero has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Bronson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Guerrero.
Guerrero is trying to improve his position.
Bronson is chipping away with strikes.
Guerrero is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Bronson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Bronson is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Guerrero will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Bronson is looking to take a break and control but Guerrero is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bronson is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Guerrero will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Guerrero stuffs the takedown.
Guerrero defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bronson.
Bronson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Guerrero sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bronson somewhat.
August Guerrero has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zailer Bronson.
Guerrero shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bronson as he avoids it easily.
Guerrero shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bronson pinned against the cage. Bronson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Guerrero holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Bronson is breathing heavily.
Bronson tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Guerrero is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Bronson is keeping busy.
Guerrero wants a takedown but no success here.
Bronson trying to stall but Guerrero improves his position.
Guerrero is working for takedown but Bronson is calmly controlling the position for now.
Guerrero wants to take the fight to the mat but Bronson manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Guerrero is trying to push Bronson away but Bronson has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Bronson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and Bronson counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Guerrero gets tackled into the cage by Bronson. Bronson maintains the clinch.

Nice takedown defense from Bronson. No joy for Guerrero on that attempt.

Bronson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bronson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Bronson swats away the attempt to clinch by Guerrero.

Bronson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Guerrero fails to pull guard.

Bronson has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Guerrero clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bronson is looking for the choke from the back position but Guerrero is controlling his hands well.
Guerrero trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.

Guerrero staying busy and making it hard for Bronson to control.
Guerrero tries to escape but Bronson has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Guerrero really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Bronson punishes Guerrero with strikes from the back mount.
Guerrero turns into Bronson and is now in his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Guerrero wants to control from the top but Bronson keeps moving.
Guerrero showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Bronson wants to improve his position but instead Guerrero has moved into half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bronson throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Zailer Bronson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Bronson closes the distance and clinches.

Bronson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Zailer Bronson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Guerrero keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bronson.
Guerrero misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
And Bronson tries to counter it with a takedown but Guerrero pushes his down on his head and steps out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Guerrero moves in looking to clinch but Bronson pushes him off.

Guerrero shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bronson's guard.
Bronson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Bronson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Guerrero is aware though and is defending well.

Guerrero drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Guerrero jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Guerrero will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Guerrero dodges the punch combination from Bronson.

Guerrero fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bronson sprawls well initially but Guerrero persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Guerrero prevents Bronson from improving his position.

Bronson is looking to control Guerrero's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bronson avoid being mounted?
Bronson is not content to let Guerrero control the position.
Guerrero prevents Bronson from standing back up.

Guerrero is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Bronson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Zailer Bronson has got the better of the ground game so far.
Guerrero wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Bronson manages to pass to side control.
Bronson is keen to just control but Guerrero is a slippery customer.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Guerrero is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
August Guerrero has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Zailer Bronson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Bronson is pressing down on Guerrero's thigh, looking to free his foot. Guerrero is holding on for now.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Zailer Bronson.
Well Bronson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
