Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Yaya Chichi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Edward!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Phil Schofield and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chichi takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Edward shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Chichi eats them both and turns towards Edward to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
It looks like Yaya Chichi has been cut.
Edward misses with the combination.
Edward throws a nice looking combination but Chichi bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A little feinted left hand from Chichi on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Chichi looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Edward comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Edward lands a left and a right that send Chichi crashing to the mat, dazed. Edward thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Edward darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Chichi's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Edward before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jack Edward!
After winning the bout, Jack Edward thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
