Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carrera Villamora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takuji Kawashima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Kawashima's choice of entrance music: Colossal - Wolfmother. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Carrera Villamora! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Takuji Kawashima! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yukihiro Shimada and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Villamora misses the shot to the body. Kawashima takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Villamora ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kawashima moves away. Villamora fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kawashima manages to avoid it. Villamora throws a hook but Kawashima blocks it. Villamora ducks under a wild hook from Kawashima. Kawashima throws a sloppy head kick and Villamora counters with a lovely shot to the body. Villamora fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kawashima manages to avoid it. Kawashima throws out a loose jab but Villamora uses good head movement to avoid it. Kawashima throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Villamora counters with a straight right hand. A shot to the liver by Kawashima. Beautiful body shot. Kawashima takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Villamora thumps Kawashima with a low kick. Villamora looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Villamora throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
This has been an exciting period of action! Villamora throws a head kick but Kawashima moves out of range.
Villamora is looking to wear down Kawashima with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Kawashima takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Villamora throws a leg kick which misses Kawashima's front leg but catches the back leg as Kawashima tries to avoid it. Kawashima throws a jab but it's blocked by Villamora. Kawashima takes a jab right on the kisser.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kawashima trying to control the position from guard on top but Villamora is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Villamora keeping full guard, as Kawashima tries to pass. Villamora on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Villamora tries to get out of the position. Villamora working a defensive guard but Kawashima manages to pass into side control anyway.
Kawashima tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kawashima has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Villamora struggling a bit here. Kawashima misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kawashima content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Kawashima working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Kawashima sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Villamora is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Kawashima is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Villamora is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Kawashima tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Villamora dodges the ground and pound from Kawashima. An elbow from Kawashima crashes against the mat.
Villamora wants to control but Kawashima postures up. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Kawashima working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Kawashima wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Villamora, who protects the arm well. An elbow from Kawashima crashes against the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kawashima tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Kawashima tries to score with some ground and pound. Villamora controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Kawashima fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Villamora takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Kawashima creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Villamora sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Kawashima working the ground and pound. Kawashima tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Kawashima wants to control but Villamora is keeping him busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Takuji Kawashima dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Villamora gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kawashima to score an easy takedown into full guard. Kawashima missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Kawashima has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Villamora looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kawashima landing with the ground and pound. Kawashima throwing strikes from guard but Villamora blocks nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Villamora avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Villamora keeping moving, preventing Kawashima from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kawashima in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Kawashima trying to control but Villamora is working from the bottom. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Kawashima throws a big right hand that misses.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Kawashima fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Kawashima lands with a shot to the body. Kawashima shoots in for a takedown but Villamora shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Villamora lands a head shot. Kawashima looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Villamora! Kawashima is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Villamora will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Takuji Kawashima has got the better of the ground game so far.

Kawashima is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Villamora will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Kawashima postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Villamora is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
It looks like Carrera Villamora has been cut. Kawashima in side control, throwing shots but Villamora defends. Villamora stops Kawashima from passing to mount. Kawashima is trying to get an arm triangle but Villamora is defending well. Kawashima lands a few punches from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kawashima is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Villamora knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Villamora knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kawashima on the ground. Villamora gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Villamora is in a horrible position here. Kawashima smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kawashima throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Villamora because Kawashima loaded up on that one. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Takuji Kawashima showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Carrera Villamora's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Villamora buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Villamora stuns Kawashima with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Kawashima uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Villamora.
Kawashima feints the counter takedown. Kawashima changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Villamora tries to avoid it but Kawashima manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Villamora to the ground. Villamora escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Kawashima just misses with a punch to the body.
A solid leg kick lands there for Villamora.
Carrera Villamora is winning the standup battle so far. Kawashima shoots in looking for a takedown but Villamora manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kawashima's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Villamora connects with a nice looking jab.
Villamora connects with a body shot. Kawashima takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Villamora does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Kawashima closes this distance looking for a takedown but Villamora circles away. Carrera Villamora has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Takuji Kawashima. Villamora throws a chopping leg kick but Kawashima manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Kawashima shoots for a double leg takedown but Villamora sprawls well. He's pushed Kawashima's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Villamora looks to land a combination. Kawashima sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
It looks like Takuji Kawashima has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Villamora fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kawashima manages to avoid it. Kawashima drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Villamora defends it well. Villamora lands a really nice looking cross but Kawashima seems unphased.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kawashima misses the shot to the body. A looping hook to the body misses from Villamora. Kawashima does a little dance to reset his feet. Villamora avoids the body shot from Kawashima.

Kawashima trying to control but Villamora is working from the bottom. Kawashima throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Villamora works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Kawashima wants to control but Villamora is keeping him busy. Kawashima not landing any meaningful shots this time. Kawashima misses with a head shot. Villamora uses the momentum to regain guard. Kawashima trying to control the position from guard on top but Villamora is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Carrera Villamora's cut is getting worse. Kawashima lands a couple of digs.
Carrera Villamora's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Villamora utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Kawashima with a nice head shot there.
Jeez, Carrera Villamora's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Carrera Villamora's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Takuji Kawashima! Takuji Kawashima really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Kore Fight Nutrition [TG] logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty. In defeat, Carrera Villamora stepped up to the mic, saying 'I will have break and come back and give a great fight for you guys! Thanks again to all who support me.'.
