Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Keahilani Akamu!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Akamu, pushing him back against the cage.
Jones is trying to pull guard but Akamu has him pressed against the cage.
Jones jumps guard but Akamu stands there with Jones around his waist. Jones gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Akamu has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jones is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Jones breaks from the clinch.

Akamu gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Akamu wants to take the fight to the mat but Jones manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Akamu misses with a punch to the body.
Jones tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniel Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jones is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Akamu to keep the fight standing.

Jones won't allow Akamu to get back to his feet.

Akamu is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Akamu landing knees to the head.
Jones tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Akamu pulls guard.
Akamu wants to stand up but Jones is controlling him.
Akamu looking for a sweep. Not yet Akamu, not yet.

Akamu wriggles free and stands up.
Akamu lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Akamu.


Daniel Jones's cut is getting worse.

Akamu has Jones up against the cage in a clinch.

Akamu manages to break the clinch.

Jones clinches up against the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jones is trying to pull guard but Akamu has him pressed against the cage.
Jones has had enough of the clinch but Akamu keeps him there for the moment.
Akamu presses Jones against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Akamu breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Akamu has managed to clinch.
Jones prevents a body shot from Akamu.
The referee is keeping an eye on Akamu - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Akamu comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Daniel Jones's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Jones changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Akamu fights it off and pushes away nicely.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Akamu lands a damaging elbow.


Jeez, Daniel Jones's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Akamu is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Akamu takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Akamu closes the distance and clinches.

Akamu breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Akamu tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Akamu stuffs the takedown.

Akamu pushes Jones up against the cage in a clinch.

Akamu pulls guard.
Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Akamu is retaining full guard.

Akamu pushes Jones off and gets back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Keahilani Akamu dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Daniel Jones's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Akamu forces Jones back against the cage and clinches.
The referee calls for Akamu to work.
Akamu misses with a punch to the body.
A short uppercut from Akamu.
Knees in the clinch landing for Akamu.
Akamu jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jones walks away with a smile on his face. Akamu gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Jones looks for a takedown but Akamu sprawls well.
A slapping leg kick lands for Akamu.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Akamu has closed the distance and engaged Jones in a clinch.
Jones throws a knee to the head but misses.
A right handed body shot lands from Akamu.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Akamu pushes Jones back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Akamu landing knees to the body.
Akamu stalling against the cage.
Jones takes an elbow to the forehead.
Akamu scores with a hook to the body.
Akamu landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Akamu lands an elbow inside that Jones shrugs off.

Akamu pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Akamu instigates a clinch.
Akamu tries a body shot but Jones blocks it.
Akamu keeps control of Jones as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Akamu comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Daniel Jones's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Keahilani Akamu!
A relieved looking Keahilani Akamu thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
In defeat, Daniel Jones stepped up to the mic, saying 'I give you this fight but next time expect a merciless beating that your ancestors will fee in their graves.'.
