Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Khal Drogo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fernando Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva has chosen Instrumental Core - The Angels Among Demons as his entrance music. Fernando Silva will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Silva looks up at the clock and then as Drogo takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Silva smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Drogo pushes Silva away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Silva gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Drogo is looking for a sweep.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Drogo wants to get back to his feet but Silva drags him back down.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Drogo's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Fernando Silva is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Silva takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Well Silva has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
