Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dave Holiday!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Konstantin Menshow and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Austin gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Holiday trying to control but Austin is working from the bottom.
Holiday might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Austin haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Holiday looking to sit in guard and control but Austin gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Holiday is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Holiday has his foot on Austin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Austin works his way back into a safe position though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Austin has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Austin throws a good cross that connects.
Holiday's coach down at Always Clean Double Elite was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Holiday's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Austin avoids a kick to the body.

Austin closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
Holiday is trying to break the clinch but Austin is controlling him.

Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Holiday tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Austin's elbow.
Austin throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Holiday can't find room to land a body shot as Austin controls the action.
Austin lands a right hand.

With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Austin creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Austin works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

A nice right hand lands inside from Austin.
Austin lands a nice shot to the body.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Austin.

Austin lands with a light punch inside.
Austin lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Holiday backwards.
Holiday tries to throw a body punch but Austin avoids it by throwing Holiday back against the ropes.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Austin cracks Holiday with a nice body shot.
Holiday looks winded!
Austin lands with a left to the head.
Austin lands with a short shot to the head.
Austin works on Holiday's body with a couple of short punches.

Holiday is still on wobbly legs! Can Austin finish him?
Austin lands a big right hand that drops Holiday! The killer instinct kicks in and Austin finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Austin!

Our winner, Shane Austin, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
