The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wunderkind works over Makatua's head and body with a nice combination.
It looks like Sam Makatua has been cut.
Wunderkind connects with a looping right hand.
Makatua throws a front kick aimed at Wunderkind's knee but Wunderkind avoids it well.
Wunderkind takes one to the side of the head.

Makatua moves out of range of the strikes.

Sam Makatua seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Makatua misses with a body shot.
Wunderkind scores with a hook.
Makatua turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Wunderkind throws a leg kick but Makatua checks it.
Makatua lands with a hook. Wunderkind tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Wunderkind throws a looping overhand right but Makatua ducks down to avoid it.
Makatua closes the distance and scores with a big combo that sends Wunderkind crashing to the mat! Wunderkind uses the ropes to get back to his feet and beat the count. The referee looks concerned but he's going to allow it to continue!
Wunderkind is rocked!
Makatua connects with a stiff jab that staggers Wunderkind - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Sam Makatua!
Sam Makatua really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that FJCP Healthy Nutrition logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
