Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Bruce Luis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derrick Millar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bruce Luis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Derrick Millar! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A kick lands to the mid section there for Millar. Millar throws a wild body kick that Luis sees coming a mile off. Millar throws a lazy head kick and Luis counters with a lovely straight right hand! Millar throws a leg kick and Luis counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Luis gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Millar stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Millar throws a leg kick but Luis sees it coming and moves out of range. Luis uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Millar.
Luis tries to counter by clinching up but Millar breaks away and moves out of range. An inside leg kick lands from Luis. Millar looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Luis misses with a looping right. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Millar lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Luis has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Luis and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Millar is looking to clinch. Luis is looking to counter the offense by Millar and move into the clinch. Luis ducks under a wild hook from Millar. Millar cracks the inside of Luis's front leg. Millar throws a solid leg kick but Luis takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Millar. Millar throws a leg kick and Luis cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Luis throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Millar. Luis scores with a jab to the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Luis's jab looks to have found its range, popping Millar under the eye. Millar tries to work over Luis's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Millar tries to stall but Luis uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Luis tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Millar avoids it. I was talking to Luis's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Millar has a couple of punches blocked by Luis.

That was a close round but I would say that Bruce Luis will probably get the nod. That's time! Luis's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Luis counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Luis. With the fighters up against the ropes, Luis throws an elbow but misses. Millar tries to throw a body punch but Luis avoids it by throwing Millar back against the ropes. Millar blocks an elbow strike from Luis.

Luis is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Millar is defending well for now. Nice elbow from Luis. Luis using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Millar has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Millar takes it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:19 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Derrick Millar! Derrick Millar really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Bad Man Clothing (Nothing Over $40) logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
