Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jefferey Buck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Skaggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jefferey Buck!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ryan Skaggs!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Jorge Garcia and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Buck gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Skaggs breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Skaggs has closed the distance and engaged Buck in a clinch.
Buck has had enough of the clinch but Skaggs keeps him there for the moment.
Skaggs has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Skaggs is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Buck stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Buck jumps guard but Skaggs turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Buck wants to break the clinch but can't.

Buck pulls Skaggs into guard.
Skaggs loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Skaggs connects with a couple of short punches.
Skaggs postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Buck looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Skaggs's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Buck working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Skaggs.
Skaggs scoring with some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Skaggs is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Buck is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Buck has escaped and now he's on top!


Skaggs is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Skaggs pulls guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Buck preventing the sweep.
Buck stops Skaggs from standing up.
Buck trying to control the position from guard on top but Skaggs is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Buck in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Skaggs wants to stand but Buck is controlling the position.
Skaggs trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

Skaggs has his feet on Buck's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Skaggs fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Buck, pushing him back against the cage.
A knee to the head by Skaggs.


Buck is rocked!


It looks like Jefferey Buck has been cut.
Buck is trying to break the clinch but Skaggs is controlling him.
Oh Buck is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Skaggs manages to break the clinch.
Skaggs cracks Buck's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Buck slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Skaggs can do further damage! This one is done, son!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ryan Skaggs!
Our winner, Ryan Skaggs, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
