Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matt Cooke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Emerson Atunes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Matt Cooke has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Matt Cooke seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matt Cooke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Emerson Atunes!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Dean Styles and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Atunes with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Atunes gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Cooke counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Cooke has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Atunes.
Atunes is looking to slow Cooke down with leg kicks.
That kick from Atunes tenderised Cooke's leg. Cooke is trying to keep his angry face on.
Cooke lands a jab to Atunes's midsection.
Atunes misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Cooke counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Atunes thinking.
Cooke digs a good hook to Atunes's body.
Atunes looks winded!
Cooke shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Cooke tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Atunes fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Cooke has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Cooke seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Atunes tries a low kick but Cooke avoids it.
Atunes backs away from a small jab... but Cooke lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Atunes crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Cooke with a spectacular finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Matt Cooke!
A very excited looking Matt Cooke made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
