Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nick Folignus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Oswald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Folignus might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Laces Out. Oswald has chosen Lou Reed - The day John Kennedy Died as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nick Folignus! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lee Oswald! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Folignus gets a double leg takedown into Oswald's guard. Folignus wants to pass the guard but Oswald is keeping the position. Oswald looking to control.
Folignus trying to control the position from guard on top but Oswald is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Folignus won't allow Oswald to get back to his feet. Folignus controls from within his opponent's guard. Folignus throws a big right hand that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Folignus trying to control but Oswald is working from the bottom. Folignus pushing down on Oswald's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Oswald wants to improve his position but Folignus is controlling well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Oswald is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Oswald throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Folignus counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Folignus moves away from the strike by Oswald. Folignus keeps Oswald at a distance using the push kick. Folignus seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Lee Oswald seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Oswald lands with a hook. Folignus tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Oswald takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

and Folignus holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Folignus breaks the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Folignus keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Oswald. Oswald misses with a head kick.

Oswald tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Folignus was well out of range. Poor timing from Oswald. Folignus half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Oswald fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Folignus has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Oswald walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Folignus shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Folignus showed some decent athleticism there. Folignus is keen to just control but Oswald is a slippery customer. Folignus is thwarting Oswald's attempts to control the position. Folignus is looking for a kimura here.

Oswald has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Folignus prevents Oswald from standing back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Oswald throws a series of punches but Folignus moves out of range. Folignus changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Folignus takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Both fighters circling a little - Folignus finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Oswald throws a right and a left that both miss. Oswald drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Oswald misses with an uppercut
letting Folignus counter with a right hand. Oswald swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Folignus connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Folignus misses with a head kick.
Oswald thows a leg kick but Folignus checks it and Folignus counters with a nice low kick that buckles Oswald's knee momentarily. Folignus scores with a crisp jab that stopped Oswald in his tracks. Oswald throws a low kick but it's checked well by Folignus. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Folignus, right into the meat.
A lazy left from Folignus finds it's target. Good leg kick by Folignus there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Oswald throws a looping overhand right but Folignus ducks down to avoid it. Oswald rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Folignus moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Oswald misses with a left hand and Folignus counters with a nice uppercut. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nick Folignus dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Folignus changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Oswald looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Oswald is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Oswald is looking to reverse the position. Folignus is looking to take a break and control but Oswald is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Oswald tries to escape but Folignus is in control. Folignus wants to control but Oswald is keeping him busy. Folignus goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Oswald rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Folignus's guard! Nice work there by Oswald! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Oswald slips nicely into half guard. Folignus is looking to control Oswald's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Folignus avoid being mounted? Oswald trying to control from half guard but Folignus is working away.

Oswald stands up out of the half guard. Oswald lands a nice shot that snaps Folignus's head back.
Folignus shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Folignus stays in close to Oswald's body and controls the position. Oswald wants to get back to his feet but Folignus is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oswald is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Folignus dodges an elbow strike from Oswald.

Folignus is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Oswald can do to turn this around? Oswald throws a sloppy head kick and Folignus makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Oswald throws a head kick but Folignus moves out of range.

Oswald throws a right hand that Folignus ducks under and follows up with a left that Folignus also avoids with ease. Folignus fakes the leg kick and cracks Oswald in the body. Folignus turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Folignus fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Oswald on the side of the head. Folignus connects with a leg kick. Oswald looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Folignus with a jab. Oswald misses with a head kick.

That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Folignus scoring well with a low kick there.

Folignus pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Folignus connects with an inside leg kick. Folignus blocks a jab. Folignus attempts a counter takedown but Oswald avoids it well and moves away. Oswald misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Folignus counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Folignus dips to his left and cracks Oswald with an uppercut! Folignus connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Folignus cracks a nice hook into Oswald's ribs. Lee Oswald is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Folignus scoring well with a low kick there.
Oswald takes one on the button. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Oswald pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Nick Folignus dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. Folignus has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Oswald is trying to stand up. Folignus prevents Oswald from getting the reversal. Folignus looking for a guillotine from mount but Oswald is having none of it. Folignus is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Oswald is surviving well by controlling Folignus's body position as best he can. Folignus has control of Oswald's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Oswald regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Folignus looking to finish Oswald with some ground and pound. This is bad for Oswald! Folignus trying to control but he's not successful this time. Folignus with the ground and pound from mount. Folignus with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Folignus jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Oswald manages to avoid the submission attempt. Oswald struggling a bit here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oswald gets back to half guard. Oswald is trying to get back to full guard. Lee Oswald has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Oswald is not content to let Folignus control the position. Folignus is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Oswald is just riding it out for now. Folignus eventually gives up the hold. Oswald wants to control but Folignus is keeping busy.

Folignus is looking for a kimura but Oswald is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Folignus to get the leverage. Folignus trying to control the pace. Folignus is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Oswald has managed to free his arm - good work. Folignus is keen to just control but Oswald is a slippery customer. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Folignus moves into full mount! Oswald won't be happy about that! Folignus working away from the top, dropping strikes.
And that's the end of the fight! Nick Folignus showed his dominance in that final round. Well Folignus has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Nick Folignus! Nick Folignus really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Fury Nutrition Inc. logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty. Lee Oswald spoke after the fight, saying 'I'm still standing here, so you apparently didn't accomplish your goal.'.
