Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Buford Schultz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Never More!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Saam Ante and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schultz tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Schultz misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
More throws out a counter right but Schultz avoids it with no problem.
Schultz throws a head kick that misses.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from More! But no joy.
Schultz moves forwards but More connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Schultz has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from More finds it's way round the side to connect with Schultz's head.
More drops Schultz with a right and a left! More comes rushing in but Schultz regains his composure and manages to keep More in guard.
Schultz is rocked!
It looks like Buford Schultz has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Schultz working a defensive guard but More manages to pass into side control anyway.
Oh Schultz is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
More decides to take the fight back to the feet.
More has taken the fight to the clinch.
More breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
More clinches up against the cage.
Schultz throws a knee to the head but misses.
More works on Schultz's body with a couple of short punches.
Schultz wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
More wants to break free but Schultz has control.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
More stalling in the clinch.
The crowd are getting on More's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.
More escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
More has Schultz up against the cage in a clinch.
More lands a body shot in the clinch.
Schultz can't break the clinch.
More lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Schultz backwards.
More creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Schultz with a big uppercut! Schultz tries to clinch up but More pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Schultz to the mat! Schultz covers up and More unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Never More!
Never More decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
