Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Khal Drogo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Fertus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Khal Drogo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
14 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike Fertus!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drogo is trying hard to land a takedown here. Fertus sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Drogo slips under a jab from Fertus.
Drogo fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Drogo moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromFertus.
Fertus tests Drogo's chin there with a solid looking shot.
It looks like Khal Drogo has been cut.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fertus throws a hook to the side of Drogo's head but Drogo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Drogo dives in and grabs Fertus's left leg, looking for a takedown. Fertus pushes down on Drogo's head and hops out.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Fertus attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Fertus has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Drogo is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Fertus pivots, looking for a leg kick but Drogo is out of range and Fertus settles back down.
Drogo appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.

and Fertus counters with a straight right hand.

Drogo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Fertus sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Drogo somewhat.

Drogo tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Fertus defends well and Drogo ends up having to push Fertus into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Fertus stuffs the takedown attempt from Drogo. Drogo gets slowly back to his feet.
Fertus now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Horrible takedown attempt by Drogo or perhaps it was just good defense by Fertus, which made it look bad.

Fertus stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fertus wants it to stay on the feet.
Drogo backing away here, and Fertus unleashes a leg kick that just misses.

Fertus swings for the body but Drogo moves out of range.
Drogo closes the distance and clinches up with Fertus, looking for a takedown. Drogo pushes Fertus against the cage but Fertus circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Fertus throws an overhand right that lands on Drogo's shoulder, as Drogo tries to avoid the shot.
Good leg kick by Fertus there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Fertus scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Drogo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Fertus circles away.
Fertus misses with a head kick.
Drogo changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Drogo doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Fertus counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Khal Drogo's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Drogo tries for a takedown but Fertus sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Fertus is looking for the big counter here.
Drogo gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Drogo is looking to clinch.
Fertus swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Drogo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fertus throws a nice looking combination but Drogo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Fertus dominated that round.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Drogo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Fertus wants to counter with a clinch but Drogo pushes him away.
Fertus stalks Drogo and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Drogo's face. Drogo staggers backwards, shaken.
Khal Drogo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fertus lands a left and a right that send Drogo crashing to the mat, dazed. Fertus thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Fertus is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Drogo.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jeez, Khal Drogo's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Khal Drogo's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Mike Fertus!
A less than humble Mike Fertus misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
