Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Han Solo Berger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathan Rook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Han Solo Berger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nathan Rook! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Columbo Gatti and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Berger uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rook.
Berger moves away from the strike by Rook. Rook missing with a left hand there. Berger was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Berger tries to counter by clinching up but Rook breaks away and moves out of range. Rook takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Sloppy strikes from Rook. Those never looked like landing. Berger on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Berger misses with a body kick. Berger lands with a thumping leg kick.
Rook tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Berger was well out of range. Poor timing from Rook. Rook throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Rook moves forwards but Berger connects with a nice, crisp jab. Berger is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rook. Rook throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Rook throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Berger on the side of the head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rook fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Nathan Rook seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Berger feints and then cracks Rook's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Rook down.
That's one minute gone in the round. Berger connects with a crisp jab. Rook just misses with a punch to the body.
Rook connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Rook swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Berger counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Berger. Rook tries a body shot but Berger blocks it.
Berger lands with a light punch inside. Berger is leaning against Rook and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Rook misses with some punches.
Rook can't find room to land a body shot as Berger controls the action.

Berger keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Rook's efforts to push away. Rook scores with an uppercut up the middle. A quick uppercut on the inside from Berger. Berger trying to stall but Rook improves his position.
Rook misses with the head strike.
Berger lands an uppercut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rook working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. A short right from Berger on the inside. Berger taking a breather. Berger lands a hook that snaps the head of Rook backwards. Berger lands with a right to the head.
Rook is rocked! Berger stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Rook is still on wobbly legs! Can Berger finish him? Berger has a couple of punches blocked by Rook.
Rook seems to have recovered his senses. Rook misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Berger manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Rook goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Berger lands on the inside with an uppercut. Rook blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Berger lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Berger just leaning against Rook, taking a breather. Rook throws a punch but it's blocked by Berger.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rook wants to break free but Berger has control.

Rook tries to throw a body punch but Berger avoids it by throwing Rook back against the cage. Berger is trying to maintain a safe position but Rook gets an underhook and turns Berger into the cage. A short right from Rook on the inside. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Berger keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Rook's efforts to push away. Berger working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Rook scores with a nice hook to the head. Rook is trying to break the clinch but Berger is controlling him. Rook fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Berger lands a hook that snaps the head of Rook backwards. Berger swings wildly with an uppercut but Rook uses good head movement to avoid it. Berger taking a breather. Rook misses with some punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Berger gets through Rook's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Rook misses with a punch on the inside.
Berger's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Berger scores with a shoulder strike. Berger lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Rook to his knees! Berger keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Han Solo Berger! After winning the bout, Han Solo Berger thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
