Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between David Cabeza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cerebrinho Da Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Cabeza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cerebrinho Da Souza!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da Souza throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Da Souza moves into range and clinches up with Cabeza.
Da Souza has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Cabeza is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Cabeza jumps guard and drags Da Souza to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Da Souza is looking to stand up but Cabeza won't let him.

Cabeza is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Cabeza is trying to break free.

Cabeza manages to break the clinch.
Da Souza shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cabeza but Cabeza pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Cabeza scores with a jab to the jaw.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Da Souza.
David Cabeza has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cerebrinho Da Souza.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Cabeza gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Da Souza smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Cabeza drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Da Souza tries to strike from the bottom.
Cabeza trying to control the position from guard on top but Da Souza is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Cabeza trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Da Souza escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cabeza gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Cabeza stops Da Souza from standing up.

Cabeza stands and steps away. Da Souza gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Da Souza wants to clinch up but Cabeza keeps it at a distance.
Da Souza fails with the takedown

and Cabeza counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Cabeza wants to pass the guard but Da Souza is defending well.
Da Souza trying to control here.
Da Souza tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Da Souza misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Da Souza is trying to escape back to his feet but Cabeza uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Cabeza scores with punches from side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Cabeza is looking to take a break and control but Da Souza is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Cabeza cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Da Souza is desperately trying to improve his position but Cabeza has a good base and remains in mount.

Cabeza gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Cabeza takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Da Souza misses with a double jab

and Cabeza counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Da Souza!
Da Souza wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Cabeza controlling the pace for now.
Cabeza fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Cabeza lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Da Souza hang on?
Da Souza wants to control but Cabeza is having none of it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Da Souza decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Da Souza throws a series of punches but Cabeza avoids them all with ease.

Cabeza darts in and clinches Da Souza up against the cage.

Da Souza breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Da Souza gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Cabeza counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Cabeza.
Da Souza wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Cabeza manages to pass to side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Da Souza flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Cabeza dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Da Souza can't keep his opponent in guard - Cabeza advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Cabeza perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Da Souza wants to control but Cabeza is keeping busy.

Cabeza stands up and beckons Da Souza to join him on the feet.
Da Souza lands a head kick. Cabeza smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Cabeza manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Da Souza manages to get himself to full guard.

Da Souza swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Da Souza really wants to buck Cabeza off and get back to his feet.

Da Souza is squirming around, avoiding Cabeza's attempts to control the action.
Cabeza is really struggling to control Da Souza but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Cabeza lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Cabeza has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Da Souza's face.
Da Souza wants to get back to his feet.
Cabeza can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Da Souza is looking to escape.
Cabeza lands a big shot there that rocks Da Souza but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Cerebrinho Da Souza has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Da Souza really wants to buck Cabeza off and get back to his feet.

Cabeza has hold of Da Souza's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Da Souza manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Cabeza lands a nice shot to the head.

And that's the end of the fight!
David Cabeza showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Cabeza has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
