Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bob McLovin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Reidar Vedhult! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vedhult manages to get an easy takedown there - catching McLovin on his heels. He'll look to pass McLovin's guard now, I'm sure. McLovin working a defensive guard here.
McLovin is pulling down on Vedhult's head to control his posture. McLovin keeping moving, preventing Vedhult from controlling successfully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vedhult is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. McLovin has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. McLovin controls Vedhult momentarily but Vedhult frees himself. Vedhult stopping the sweep attempt from McLovin.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Vedhult fails with the takedown. McLovin looks to throw the jab but Vedhult is out of range. Vedhult avoids the body shot from McLovin.
McLovin slaps away a takedown attempt from Vedhult, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. McLovin misses with a straight left. Vedhult has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Vedhult fails with a takedown attempt. Bob McLovin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Reidar Vedhult. Vedhult dives in and grabs McLovin's left leg, looking for a takedown. McLovin pushes down on Vedhult's head and hops out. A telegraphed right hand from McLovin misses the target. Vedhult tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Vedhult tries for a takedown but McLovin circles away easily and McLovin counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Vedhult closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into McLovin's guard. McLovin keeping full guard, as Vedhult tries to pass. McLovin has escaped and now he's on top! A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Vedhult holds on and takes a little breather. McLovin content to stall in guard here.

McLovin sitting in guard, not really doing much. McLovin trying to control but Vedhult is working from the bottom. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! McLovin is really struggling to control Vedhult but he's trying to hold on to the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Bob McLovin will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Vedhult shoots for a takedown but McLovin saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. We've been told by McLovin's head coaches at GTi 888 that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. McLovin stuffs the takedown. A quick step to the side and McLovin tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. McLovin connects with a crisp jab. Vedhult is trying hard to land a takedown here. McLovin sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. A little feinted left hand from McLovin on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Bob McLovin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Reidar Vedhult. Vedhult closes this distance looking for a takedown but McLovin circles away. McLovin slips nicely into half guard. Vedhult won't allow McLovin to pass to mount. Vedhult is looking to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. McLovin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Vedhult keeps working. Vedhult is looking for a sweep. Vedhult manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Vedhult is thwarting McLovin's attempts to control the position. McLovin wants to get back to full guard. Vedhult is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. McLovin doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Vedhult. McLovin is trying to maintain the position but Vedhult is very close to passing his half guard.

McLovin makes his way to full guard. A much better position for McLovin.

Vedhult throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McLovin's waist but McLovin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vedhult off to one side. An attempted straight right counter from McLovin misses the target. Vedhult tries to score a power double leg takedown but McLovin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Vedhult somewhat. McLovin is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Vedhult defending well as McLovin loads up on a big left hand. Vedhult doesn't succeed with the takedown and McLovin counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Bob McLovin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. McLovin connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Vedhult's hands. McLovin stuffs the takedown attempt from Vedhult. Vedhult gets slowly back to his feet. McLovin wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

That looked like it hurt. Vedhult shoots in for a double leg but McLovin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Vedhult darts in looking for a takedown but McLovin gets double underhooks and turns Vedhult into the cage. McLovin was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. McLovin is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Vedhult can do to turn this around? Vedhult goes for a double leg but McLovin avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as McLovin continues to drive forward. Vedhult dives in and grabs McLovin's left leg, looking for a takedown. McLovin pushes down on Vedhult's head and hops out. McLovin was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Bob McLovin is winning the standup battle so far. Vedhult shoots and misses and McLovin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Vedhult takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vedhult misses with a takedown attempt - McLovin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. McLovin connects with a single shot there. Vedhult takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Vedhult has his takedown stuffed and McLovin counters with a stiff right hand. McLovin loads up on a big right hand but Vedhult slips the punch. Vedhult takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Vedhult shoots in looking for a takedown. McLovin tries to sprawl out of it but Vedhult keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McLovin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McLovin lands with an uppercut that bounces Vedhult off the cage and back into range. Vedhult is looking to score with low kicks. A counter left hand to the body from McLovin misses its target. Vedhult misses with a takedown attempt - McLovin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. It looked like McLovin wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Good work by McLovin as he checks the leg kick. McLovin lands a jab to the nose.
And that's the end of the fight! Bob McLovin showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for McLovin, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
