Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sanford Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamal Leroy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leroy misses with a takedown attempt
and Nelson counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Sanford Nelson will probably get the nod.

Leroy swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Nelson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

As Leroy tries to get set, Nelson tries to push him back and clinch up but Leroy manages to avoid the attempt.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

And Nelson counters with a quick kick to the body but Leroy blocks it.

Leroy has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Nelson regains guard immediately.

Leroy tries to close the distance and clinch but Nelson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Nelson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Nelson wants it to stay on the feet.
Jamal Leroy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Sanford Nelson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Sanford Nelson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jamal Leroy.
Nelson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Nelson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
