Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Julio Cesar Chavez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Akeen Coker!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chavez throws a lazy right hand but Coker sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Chavez uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Coker has time to react.
Coker bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Coker manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Chavez on his heels. He'll look to pass Chavez's guard now, I'm sure.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Coker lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Chavez has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Chavez and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Akeen Coker is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

I would just about give that final round to Akeen Coker.
Well Coker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
