Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andersam Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drew Peacock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peacock feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Peacock prevents Silva from getting back to his feet.

Silva throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Silva is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Peacock really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Silva is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Peacock is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Silva loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Silva has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Silva gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Silva wants to stand up but Peacock is controlling him.
Silva is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Peacock throwing strikes but missing.
Peacock has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Silva to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Peacock is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Silva pulls down on the head and he's put Peacock to sleep! This one is all over!
