PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shon Sweet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wiz Khalifa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Wiz Khalifa!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sweet throws a quick inside leg kick.
Khalifa throws a series of punches but Sweet avoids them all with ease.
Khalifa is looking to clinch but Sweet is avoiding it.
Sweet could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Khalifa shoots in for a takedown but Sweet shows good takedown defense.
Khalifa misses with the combination.
Khalifa looks winded!
The fighters circle momentarily. Khalifa darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Sweet shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Khalifa is trying to defend but Sweet finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Sweet is taking a breather. Khalifa says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Sweet is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Sweet knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Khalifa on the ground.
Sweet wants to get back to his feet.
Khalifa is looking to improve his position.

Sweet is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Khalifa is just riding it out for now. Sweet eventually gives up the hold.
Khalifa wants to improve his position but Sweet is controlling well.

Sweet is working for a submission of some sort.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Sweet wants to lay and pray for a moment but Khalifa keeps working.

Sweet is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Sweet is looking for a kimura but Khalifa is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sweet to get the leverage.
Sweet sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Khalifa defending well though.

Sweet is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Khalifa sees it coming and defends easily.
Khalifa is pressing down on Sweet's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Khalifa is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Sweet has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Sweet has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Khalifa to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Sweet is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Khalifa pulls down on the head and he's put Sweet to sleep! This one is all over!
