Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Maria Garrett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Soeren Lingreen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Maria Garrett has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Maria Garrett seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Phil Schofield and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lingreen is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Garrett's half guard.
Lingreen seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Lingreen stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Garrett looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
It seemed like Lingreen was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Garrett tries to keep at a distance but Lingreen has taken the fight into the clinch.
Lingreen lands a damaging elbow.
It looks like Maria Garrett has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Garrett takes a shot to the head.
Garrett manages to break the clinch.
Lingreen manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Garrett on his heels. He'll look to pass Garrett's guard now, I'm sure.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Lingreen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Garrett is pulling down on Lingreen's head. It's preventing any offense from Lingreen, at least for the moment.
Garrett has his foot on Lingreen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lingreen works his way back into a safe position though.
Lingreen gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Lingreen prevents Garrett from standing back up.

Lingreen stands up and beckons Garrett to join him on the feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Garrett gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Garrett tries to clinch there but Lingreen circles away.
Garrett tries to sprawl but Lingreen drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Lingreen wants to stand but Garrett has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Garrett really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Garrett shoots in for a takedown but Lingreen shows good takedown defense.
Lingreen is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Lingreen doesn't manage to clinch there - Garrett circles away.
Garrett goes for a double leg but Lingreen avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Lingreen continues to drive forward.

Lingreen changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Garrett looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lingreen stands up.
Lingreen shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Lingreen was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Garrett tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lingreen wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lingreen stands up.
Lingreen throws out a powerful jab.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Garrett enables Lingreen to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Garrett manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Garrett is rocked!
Lingreen gets to his feet - Garrett follows without any prompting.
Oh Garrett is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lingreen closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Garrett quickly recovers to half guard.

Lingreen decides to stand and escape the position.
Lingreen feints a jab and as Garrett dips his head, Lingreen unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Garrett right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Garrett falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Lingreen smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Soeren Lingreen!
