Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Julian Eduardo Demaestri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trent Branton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Julian Eduardo Demaestri looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Julian Eduardo Demaestri! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Trent Branton! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Branton moves out of range of the body kick. Demaestri looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Branton has momentary wrist control but Demaestri slips an elbow through the middle. Branton lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Demaestri's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Branton postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Branton trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Demaestri wants to sweep here but Branton controlling him for the moment. Demaestri striking from his own guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Branton trying to control the position from guard on top but Demaestri is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Demaestri lands a couple of decent looking body shots there.

Demaestri keeping full guard, as Branton tries to pass. I've been told that Branton has been drilling his wrestling of late, which has already helped him take this fight to the mat. Let's see how much of an impact it has on the outcome of the ground game. Demaestri controls Branton momentarily but Branton frees himself. Branton trying to control the position from guard on top but Demaestri is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Demaestri has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Branton can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Demaestri throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Branton is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Branton trying to control the position from guard on top but Demaestri is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Demaestri fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Demaestri shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Branton but Branton pushes him off and we're back to square one. Demaestri looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Branton manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Demaestri postures up in Branton's guard and throws a big left but Branton blocks it. Branton is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Demaestri won't allow Branton to sweep him here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Branton trying to keep a closed guard but Demaestri is proving a slippery customer.

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Demaestri can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Branton is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Branton is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Demaestri throws a strike from the bottom but Branton passes into side control!
Branton is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Demaestri knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Branton tries for a kimura but Demaestri is defending well. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Demaestri is trying to improve his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Julian Eduardo Demaestri will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
A cross from Branton lands. Branton lands with a kick to the ribs.
Julian Eduardo Demaestri seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Branton scores with a head kick. Demaestri tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
It looks like Julian Eduardo Demaestri has been cut. Branton lands a big head kick that sends Demaestri tumbling to the mat! Branton takes a step backwards and waves Demaestri back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Demaestri is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Branton looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Oh Demaestri is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Demaestri fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Branton seems to be stalking Demaestri here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Demaestri drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Trent Branton! Trent Branton decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
