Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nylerhotep Constantine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeffson Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Cliff Richard - Summer Holiday. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nylerhotep Constantine! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
34 - 30 - 2, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jeffson Gracie! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Mauricio Rocha and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Constantine misses with a hook. Gracie ducked under it nicely. Constantine connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Gracie's hands. Constantine throws a series of punches but Gracie moves out of range. Constantine throws a looping overhand right but Gracie ducks down to avoid it. And Gracie tries to counter it with a takedown but Constantine pushes his down on his head and steps out. Constantine throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Gracie avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Gracie uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Constantine. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Gracie! But no joy. Nice straight punches there by Constantine. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Constantine. Constantine throws out a powerful jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gracie misses with a right hand so Constantine counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Constantine slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Constantine won't allow Gracie to sweep him here. Constantine trying to control the position from guard on top but Gracie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Constantine trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Constantine working some strikes from top position. Gracie working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Constantine. Constantine has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Gracie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Constantine gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Gracie trying to keep a closed guard but Constantine is proving a slippery customer.

Gracie keeping moving, preventing Constantine from controlling successfully. Gracie is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie trying to mount his opponent but Constantine defends it. Gracie wants to work for an arm triangle but Constantine is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Constantine controlling the position well. Gracie misses with a head shot. Constantine uses the momentum to regain guard. Constantine is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Constantine pulls Gracie in to control the position. Gracie looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Constantine working a defensive guard here.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Constantine misses with a right hand and Gracie counters with a straight right hand. Constantine lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Constantine scores with a crisp jab that stopped Gracie in his tracks. Constantine throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gracie. Constantine gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Constantine cracks Gracie with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Constantine is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Gracie scores with a one two! Constantine had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
It looks like Nylerhotep Constantine has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Constantine with a hook. Nylerhotep Constantine seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Constantine fails in his attempt to clinch. Gracie slips a straight right by Constantine. Gracie doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nylerhotep Constantine dominated that round. The cut man is working on Nylerhotep Constantine's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Constantine forces Gracie back against the cage and clinches. Gracie has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Constantine after a bit of a struggle. Gracie lands a good knee to the midsection. Constantine won't want to take too many of those. Gracie throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Constantine blocks it with crossed arms. Gracie jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Constantine walks away with a smile on his face. Gracie gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Gracie would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Constantine controls Gracie momentarily but Gracie frees himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Constantine wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Gracie passes into half guard. Gracie is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Constantine is trying to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Constantine avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Gracie. Constantine is looking to improve his position.
Gracie wants to control but Constantine is keeping him busy. Gracie works his way into side control. Constantine wants to control but Gracie postures up. Constantine stops Gracie from passing to mount. Constantine is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie is just content to waste time from the top position. Constantine takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Gracie forces his way into half guard. Gracie is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Gracie wants to take a breather but Constantine is having none of it. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Constantine looks like he's trying to stand up.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Gracie looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Constantine stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Constantine wants it to stay on the feet. Nylerhotep Constantine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeffson Gracie. Constantine fails with an attempt to clinch.

Constantine takes the fight into the clinch. Gracie tries to pull guard but Constantine holds him up against the cage and eventually Gracie drops back down to his feet.

Gracie let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Constantine with a nice cross. Constantine lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Constantine tries to clinch up but Gracie circles away and keeps his distance. Gracie looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Constantine is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Constantine throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gracie sees it coming and avoids it easily. Constantine is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Gracie shoots in looking for a takedown but Constantine manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gracie's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Nylerhotep Constantine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeffson Gracie. Constantine throws a series of punches but Gracie avoids them all with ease. Gracie swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Constantine lands a lovely overhand right. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Constantine lands a head shot. Constantine tries to avoid it but Gracie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Constantine to the ground. Constantine escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Gracie swats away the attempt to clinch by Constantine. Gracie swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Constantine lunges at Gracie with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Gracie's hand. Constantine misses the body punch and Constantine takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. A telegraphed right hand from Constantine misses the target. Gracie ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Gracie feints the counter takedown. Gracie circles away from the clinch attempt.
Gracie with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Constantine to score with a decent uppercut. A looping hook to the body misses from Gracie. Constantine does a little dance to reset his feet. Good standup being displayed there by Constantine as he connects with a hook. Gracie gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Gracie lands a lovely overhand right.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A jab from Constantine finds it's way through Gracie's defenses. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Gracie pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Gracie misses with a takedown and Constantine decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gracie's guard. Constantine has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Constantine looking to pass the guard. Gracie trying to control the position.
Constantine has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gracie is proving hard to escape from.
And that's the end of the fight! Nylerhotep Constantine showed his dominance in that final round. I think Constantine has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
