Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mark Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Faldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Coleman comes to the cage accompanied by Johnny Cash - Solitary Man. Faldo has chosen Paparazzi Pone - Man Down as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 44 - 38 - 3, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mark Coleman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nick Faldo!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faldo fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Coleman looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Faldo with a nice cross.
Faldo lands a nice leg kick that just misses Coleman's sensitive parts.
Coleman circles away from the clinch attempt.
Faldo scores with the left hand. Coleman knows he should have avoided that one.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Faldo.
Coleman shoots for a takedown but Faldo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Coleman shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Faldo tries to roll over but Coleman keeps him under control.

Coleman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Faldo keeps working.
Coleman takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Faldo blocking the ground and pound attempt from Coleman.
Coleman is looking to pass Faldo's guard but actually Faldo recovers to full guard.
Coleman trying to control the position from guard on top but Faldo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Coleman wants to pass the guard but Faldo is keeping the position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Coleman with a flurry of punches that miss.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Faldo stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Faldo wants it to stay on the feet.
Faldo tries to clinch up but Coleman circles away and keeps his distance.
Faldo thuds his right hand into Coleman's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Coleman shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Faldo as he avoids it easily.

Faldo flicks out a counter leg kick but Coleman steps away.
Faldo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Coleman moves away.
Coleman drops down looking for a counter takedown but Faldo sprawls and moves away.

Faldo darts in and clinches Coleman up against the cage.
Coleman drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Faldo gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Coleman turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Coleman manages to end up in side control.
Coleman lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Faldo down.
Coleman wants to control but Faldo is keeping him busy.

Coleman is looking to take a break and control but Faldo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
You can see the frustration on Faldo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Faldo is not content to let Coleman control the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Coleman in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Nick Faldo will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Faldo stuffs the takedown attempt from Coleman. Coleman gets slowly back to his feet.
Faldo is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Coleman shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Faldo as he jumps to the side.
Coleman shoots in looking for a takedown but Faldo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Coleman's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Coleman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Coleman will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

A clash of legs there as Coleman blocks the low kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Faldo tests Coleman's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Coleman throws a looping overhand right but Faldo ducks down to avoid it.
Coleman moves out of range as Faldo strikes.

Coleman tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Faldo swivels and escapes.
Faldo takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Coleman fails with the takedown
and Faldo counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Coleman jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Coleman shoots in for a takedown but Faldo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Coleman lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Faldo comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Coleman closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Faldo to the mat! Faldo manages to get full guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Coleman's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Faldo keeping moving, preventing Coleman from controlling successfully.
Faldo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Coleman tries to free his leg and advance position but Faldo is retaining full guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Coleman advances to half guard.
Coleman is keen to just control but Faldo is a slippery customer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nick Faldo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Coleman doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Faldo counters with a slapping leg kick.
Faldo turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Faldo changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Coleman dives in and grabs Faldo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Faldo pushes down on Coleman's head and hops out.
Faldo moves into range and connects with a jab.

Faldo has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Coleman shoots in but no luck this time.

Faldo gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Coleman.
Coleman shoots for a double leg takedown but Faldo sprawls well. He's pushed Coleman's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Coleman sets himself, and Faldo steps forward looking for the clinch! Coleman avoids it this time.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

A head punch on the inside from Faldo fails to land.
Faldo lands a left hand that snaps the head of Coleman backwards.
Oh Coleman is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Faldo prevents a takedown attempt there.
Coleman seems to have got his legs back now.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Coleman.
Faldo misses with a body punch.
A head punch on the inside from Faldo fails to land.
Faldo lands a shoulder strike.
Faldo is pressed up against the cage. Coleman has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Faldo down to the mat. Faldo avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Faldo lands with a straight right. Coleman didn't see that one coming.
Faldo throws a shot from downtown. Coleman moves away and avoids it.
Coleman shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Faldo only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Coleman uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Faldo.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Coleman shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Faldo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Coleman throws a looping overhand right but Faldo ducks down to avoid it.
Faldo tries a quick counter leg kick but Coleman is wise to it.

Faldo keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Faldo walks into a straight right hand from Coleman.
Coleman on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Faldo has taken the fight to the clinch.
Coleman misses with a hook from the clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Nick Faldo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Faldo winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
