PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Driffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chino Bandito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Eddie Farnsworth and John Kavanagh.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Driffin has a takedown stuffed.
Bandito is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Driffin.
Bandito throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A slow jab from Bandito misses its intended target.
Driffin blocks a jab.
Bandito waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Driffin.
Bandito tries to clinch up but Driffin circles away and keeps his distance.
Bandito keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Driffin scores a takedown into full mount!

Driffin is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Bandito is surviving well by controlling Driffin's body position as best he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Driffin avoids the attempt from Bandito to control.
Bandito swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.

Bandito is in all sorts of trouble here.
Bandito tries to hold on but Driffin postures up.
Bandito bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Driffin has a closed guard, preventing Bandito from standing up.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Driffin can't keep his opponent in guard - Bandito advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bandito in particular looking to stall.
Driffin slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Bandito drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bandito jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Driffin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Driffin wants to control but Bandito is keeping busy.

Bandito is nestled in close to Driffin, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bandito connects with a nice short shot to Driffin's temple.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bandito lands a nice short elbow.
Driffin is in trouble now - Bandito has advanced to mount!
Bandito can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Driffin is looking to escape.

Driffin manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Bandito looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Driffin with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Bandito bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Driffin! He dives into his guard looking to finish!

Driffin is rocked!

It looks like Tyson Driffin has been cut.
Bandito pushes down on Driffin's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Oh Driffin is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Bandito cracks Driffin with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Chino Bandito has got the better of the ground game so far.
Bandito postures up and throws a big right hand. BOOM! Right on the button! Driffin is out cold - huge knockout for Bandito!
