Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Keneth Daniel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alvaro Miguelito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Keneth Daniel has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Keneth Daniel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alvaro Miguelito!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Daniel gets caught napping as Miguelito dives in and scores a takedown. Daniel manages to retain guard.
Miguelito trying to control the position from guard on top but Daniel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Miguelito preventing the sweep.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Daniel can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Miguelito controls the pace.
Let's hope that Miguelito has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Miguelito wants to control from the top but Daniel keeps moving.
Miguelito must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Daniel lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Miguelito really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Daniel. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Daniel drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Daniel jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Miguelito is trying to keep Daniel in close.
Miguelito is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Miguelito closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Daniel did well to prevent Miguelito getting side control.
Daniel has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Miguelito is working away from the top position though.

Daniel will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Miguelito lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Miguelito looking to sit in guard and control but Daniel gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.


Miguelito is looking for a triangle here but Daniel uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Daniel decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Alvaro Miguelito seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Daniel tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Miguelito was well out of range. Poor timing from Daniel.

Daniel gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Miguelito to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Daniel is striking off his back. Miguelito thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Daniel wants to control but Miguelito is keeping busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Miguelito tries to land a body kick
and Daniel makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Miguelito gets a clinch.

Miguelito jumps guard and drags Daniel to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Miguelito wants to get back to his feet but Daniel passes into half guard.
Miguelito lands a couple of sideways elbows.

Daniel is working for a submission of some sort.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Daniel wants to work for an arm triangle but Miguelito is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Miguelito is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Daniel jumps into side control!

Daniel stands up and we're back to a striking position.
A looping hook to the body misses from Daniel. Miguelito does a little dance to reset his feet.
Miguelito doesn't manage to clinch there - Daniel circles away.
Daniel swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Miguelito drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Daniel defends it well.

Miguelito moves into range and clinches up with Daniel.
Daniel wants to break the clinch but can't.
Miguelito connects with a knee to the head.


It looks like Keneth Daniel has been cut.
Daniel is trying to pull guard but Miguelito turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Miguelito stops a takedown attempt from Daniel.

A quick uppercut on the inside from Daniel.

Miguelito jumps guard.
Miguelito is breathing heavily.
Daniel is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Miguelito wants to hit a switch here but Daniel passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Miguelito there!
Daniel really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Daniel stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Miguelito bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Alvaro Miguelito has got the better of the ground game so far.
Daniel manages to work his way to half guard, despite Miguelito's best efforts.

Daniel bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Miguelito's guard.

Daniel gets to his feet. Miguelito looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Daniel lands with a slapping head kick.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Miguelito tries to close the distance and clinch up but Daniel swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Daniel is trying to pull guard but Miguelito turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Miguelito is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Miguelito takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Miguelito feints and as Daniel raises his hands in defense, Miguelito changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Miguelito is looking to stand up but Daniel won't let him.

Daniel is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Miguelito defends well.

Miguelito throws a strike but Daniel rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Miguelito can do anything to dispel that myth.
Daniel is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Daniel stands and steps away. Miguelito gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Daniel tries to clinch up but Miguelito circles away and keeps his distance.
Daniel lands with a nice combination. Miguelito backs away looking to recover.
Miguelito fails with an attempt to clinch.

Daniel thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Miguelito if he has to take too many more of those.
Daniel wants to clinch up but Miguelito keeps it at a distance.
Daniel swats away the attempt to clinch by Miguelito.
Daniel doesn't manage to clinch there - Miguelito circles away.
Keneth Daniel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Daniel counters with a nice body shot.
Daniel tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Miguelito manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Miguelito is working an open guard so Daniel takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Daniel throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

And that's the end of the fight!
