Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 47 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Todd Tucker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fiddy Pence! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pence is trying hard to land a takedown here. Tucker sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Tucker looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Pence shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Tucker as he avoids it easily. Pence looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tucker is fending him off so far but Pence persists. Nope, Tucker circles away and we're back to standing. Tucker was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Todd Tucker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fiddy Pence. Pence fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Tucker has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Cozad MMA Las Vegas in the buildup to the fight. Tucker gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Pence counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Pence fails with a takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pence looks for a takedown but Tucker sprawls well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tucker shoots in looking for a takedown. Pence tries to sprawl out of it but Tucker keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pence manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. No luck with that takedown attempt from Pence. Tucker stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tucker wants it to stay on the feet. Pence scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Pence maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Tucker could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Pence has cracked it and Tucker is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Pence!
