Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ouyang Kang! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Olaf Bonkers! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, John Mangel and Ben Watson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bonkers tries to clinch but fails miserably and Kang counters with a single leg into guard. Bonkers didn't expect that. Bonkers wants to get back to his feet but Kang is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Kang advances to half guard. Kang is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Bonkers has managed to free his arm - good work. Kang is looking to take a break and control but Bonkers is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Bonkers is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kang pulls his head out easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kang moves nicely into side control. Bonkers is trying to control Kang's posture but Kang avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bonkers tries to improve position but can't. Bonkers wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Kang cracks Bonkers with a big right hand but Bonkers just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Bonkers is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Check out the look on Kang's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Kang is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bonkers knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kang misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Kang working away. Kang in side control, throwing shots but Bonkers defends. Kang looks up at the clock and then as Bonkers takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Kang smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

That's three minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Bonkers's face as Kang controls the position. Kang wants to control but Bonkers is keeping him busy. Kang connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Bonkers some visible discomfort.
Kang wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bonkers keeps working. Kang working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kang working the head and body with strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bonkers regains half guard. Kang passes to side control. Kang is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Bonkers will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Kang has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kang working the head with strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kang scores with a takedown into Bonkers's guard. Bonkers escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kang gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Bonkers looking to control.

Bonkers is refusing to be controlled, as Kang sits in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bonkers wants to get back to full guard. Kang thows a huge punch but Bonkers dodges it nicely.
Kang seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bonkers does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Kang works his way into side control. Kang scoring with punches and elbows. Bonkers is trying to improve his position. Kang tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kang grinds an elbow into Bonkers's temple. Bonkers is looking for a sweep. Kang scores with a couple of short elbows. The referee asks Kang politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Kang prefers to stall for the moment though. Bonkers is looking to reverse the position. Bonkers gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Bonkers is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kang controlling from the full mount. Kang can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bonkers is looking to escape. Kang with a couple of short strikes. Bonkers taking shots to the head. Kang dominating with strikes here. Kang cracks Bonkers with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kang controlling the position easily from mount. Bonkers defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Kang. Kang landing strikes from the mount and Bonkers is in trouble! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kang controlling the position easily from mount. Kang displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bonkers. Bonkers shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kang pinned against the cage. Kang gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. A big left from Kang misses. Bonkers shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kang as he avoids it easily. Ouyang Kang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Olaf Bonkers. Kang tries a low kick but Bonkers avoids it. Despite the aggression on Bonkers's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Kang shoots in and bounces Bonkers off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kang looking to pass the guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Kang controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Kang trying to control but Bonkers is working from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Bonkers throws a sloppy head kick and Kang moves out of range easily. Kang wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kang lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bonkers has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bonkers and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Kang shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bonkers's guard. Kang engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Kang working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Bonkers's head. Kang works a leg free and moves into half guard. Kang is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Bonkers sees it coming and defends easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kang looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Kang trying to control from half guard but Bonkers is working away. Bonkers tries to kick Kang off in order to stand up. Kang Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Kang lands an elbow. Kang taking a break here but Bonkers is having none of it and regains half guard. Kang trying to pass the guard but Bonkers defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kang working Bonkers over with strikes. Bonkers is looking to escape. Bonkers is not content to let Kang control the position. Bonkers is in trouble now - Kang has advanced to mount! Kang working away from the top, dropping strikes. Olaf Bonkers has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kang looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
And that's the end of the fight! Ouyang Kang showed his dominance in that final round. Well Kang has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
