Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Seph (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guiness Stout (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Seph might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Wheres My Brother?. Joe Seph has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joe Seph!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Guiness Stout!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Steve Smith and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Seph looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Stout working a defensive guard here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Seph is stalling in the full guard.
Stout is looking to sweep but instead, Seph has passed into half guard.
Seph missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Seph is looking to take a break and control but Stout is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Stout wants to control but Seph is keeping busy.
Seph is controlling the pace.
Stout trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Seph manages to pass to mount!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Seph cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Stout wants to control but Seph is having none of it.
Stout keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Seph tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Stout is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Stout is wriggling around trying to escape.
Stout wants to hold on but Seph pushes him away.
You get the feeling that Stout really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Seph has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Stout's face.
Stout is trying desperately to improve position.
Seph working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Stout working to try and regain half guard.
Seph controlling from the full mount.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stout can do anything to dispel that myth.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Seph lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Stout hang on?
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Seph drops his shoulder and cracks Stout with a huge uppercut! Stout goes down! Can Seph finish him?


It looks like Guiness Stout has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Stout is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Seph is controlling him.
Seph content to stall in guard here.
Stout can't keep his opponent in guard - Seph advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Seph prevents Stout from improving his position.

Stout is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Seph pulls his head out easily.
Stout is breathing heavily.
Seph stalling.
Seph is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Seph content just to control the position here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Seph dominating with strikes here.
Stout squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Seph in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

Stout wants to control but Seph is having none of it.
Stout is looking to improve his position but Seph isn't that keen on the idea.
Seph lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Stout is in a horrible position here. Seph smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Stout tries to reverse the position but Seph maintains control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Stout changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Seph tries to avoid it but Stout manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Seph to the ground. Seph escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Seph with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Stout to score with a decent uppercut.

Stout gets a takedown into half guard.
Stout is stalling here. Seph is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Stout seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Seph has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Seph remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Stout takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Stout tries to bench press Seph off him but Seph keeps the position.

Seph looks up at the clock and then as Stout takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Seph smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
You can see the frustration on Stout's face as Seph controls the position.
Stout looks to move to half guard but instead Seph has passed into mount! Damn!
Seph connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Stout is looking to improve his position but Seph isn't that keen on the idea.

Well Seph has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
