Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between JD Wood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dog Catcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for JD Wood has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, JD Wood! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dog Catcher! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wood scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Catcher missing with a left hand there. Wood was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Wood fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Wood fails to land with a series of punches.
Catcher closes the distance and clinches up with Wood, looking for a takedown. Catcher pushes Wood against the cage but Wood circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Catcher swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Wood makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Catcher looks gassed! Catcher throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Catcher misses with a few strikes there.
Wood lands a nice shot to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Catcher has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Catcher there as he acknowledges the shot.
It looks like Dog Catcher has been cut. Catcher takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Wood clobbers Catcher with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Nice body punch from Wood. Wood throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Wood getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Catcher seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Wood shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Catcher is backing up but Wood catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Catcher covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Wood Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). JD Wood! JD Wood retains his featherweight title!
