The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Demaestri bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Villegas's head.

Demaestri is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Villegas takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Demaestri throws a looping overhand right but Villegas ducks down to avoid it.
Demaestri lands with an uppercut that bounces Villegas off the cage and back into range.

Villegas tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Demaestri manages to circle out of the way.
Villegas slips a jab and a cross from Demaestri.
Villegas went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Demaestri drops his hands momentarily and Villegas takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Claudio Demaestri decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
