Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wilby Champion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ayatollah Khomeini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Champion lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Champion tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Khomeini is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Champion can't fight it off and eventually Khomeini manages to take the fight to the floor. Champion looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Khomeini has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Champion can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Khomeini had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Champion is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Khomeini Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Champion's back instead.

That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Khomeini! Submission of the night perhaps?
