Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Leroy Longo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fred Flintstone! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Longo fails to land with a series of punches.
Longo gets caught napping as Flintstone dives in and scores a takedown. Longo manages to retain guard. Flintstone throws a big elbow that misses. Flintstone content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
It looks like Leroy Longo has been cut. Flintstone has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Longo being controlled here, momentarily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Longo is looking to stand up but Flintstone isn't so interested in that idea. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Flintstone trying to control the position from guard on top but Longo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Flintstone with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flintstone working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Flintstone throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Longo works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Flintstone looking to pass the guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Flintstone slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Flintstone misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Flintstone creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Longo sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Flintstone in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Flintstone has knee on belly and moves into mount. Longo is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
